The Man Who Invented Christmas
The Mob film company and Mazur/Kaplan are delighted to announce that principal photography has begun in Dublin on their feature film ‘The Man Who Invented Christmas’. Based on Les Standiford’s book that recounts how Charles Dickens created his iconic A Christmas Carol the film is written by Susan Coyne and being directed by Mob director Bharat Nalluri.
On the back of three flops, in 1843, a broke and dejected Dickens set out to write and self-publish a book he hoped would keep his family afloat, and after six fever-pitched weeks, he created A Christmas Carol.
Dan Stevens stars as the young Dickens, Christopher Plummer is Scrooge, with Jonathan Pryce as Dickens’ father. The cast also includes, Simon Callow, Miriam Margolyes, Justin Edwards and Bill Paterson.
The film is due for release in cinemas for Christmas 2017.

We are wrapping up production on our new feature film ‘Consider Yourself’ developed with BBC films and Paul Brooks, producer of the ‘Pitch Perfect’ franchise.
This is the life of Lionel Bart who wrote ‘Oliver!’ as a musical feature film using his music to tell the story.
To be directed by Vadim Jean the film will star Geoffrey Rush, Michelle Dockery, Stephen Fry, Matt Lucas, Eddie Marsan and Al Weaver.
